New multistory car park for office complex at the Chempark Leverkusen site leads the way

The new office complex at the Chempark Leverkusen site, which is fast reaching completion, is breathing new life into Kaiser-Wilhelm-Allee, bringing with it many new employees and a new flair. Additional parking facilities and state-of-the-art traffic control systems have been put in place in order to cope with the extra volume of traffic generated by these new offices.

The new multistory car park at the heart of the modernized K Block was opened and released for general use at the end of November 2009. It has been fully operational since the start of February 2010, along with the new traffic control systems and regulated access for employees and guests of the companies based at Chempark. It’s not surprising that this new parking complex is becoming increasingly popular, because the advantages are clear for all to see:

In addition to the short distances to the office areas, an appealing visual design and new services, this complex also helps ease the flow of traffic throughout Leverkusen and enables efficient parking. Dynamic, IT-based traffic signs on the B8 from Cologne to Leverkusen guide and distribute the traffic to ensure that it flows smoothly.

On completion of the building work in 2010, the whole area will boast an open and modern design, which will appeal particularly to potential employees. The aim of opening up the area around Kaiser-Wilhelm-Allee has been a resounding success, particularly since the site boundaries were relocated. This success is underpinned by the new multistory car park and the comprehensive renovation measures.

Technical details:

The multistory car park comprises 6 full floors with a total of some 1,000 parking spaces accessed by a two-lane ramp. This modern building is connected to electronically controlled access technology that regulates the interlinked information and direction signs on the highway in line with the volume of traffic on the roads. It is available exclusively for the use of employees, customers and guests of the Bayer companies and it saves them the time and effort of entering the Chempark directly.
