Björn Christmann

Björn Christmann, Managing Director of Bayer Real Estate

Björn Christmann graduated from the University of Karlsruhe, his hometown, as a Business Engineer. Subsequently he gained a degree Real Estate Economy at the European Business School.

He started his professional career at Hoechst AG in Frankfurt am Main in 1998. Via its real estate agents Areatis Immobilien and Aventis Real Estate he came to Sanofi. Where he was responsible for Corporate Real Estate Management (CREM) in Germany, North and Eastern Europe and Asia and a member of the Sanofi CREM Executive Real Estate team in Paris. In 2007, Christmann moved to Bombardier Transportation in Berlin and went to Zurich for the company in 2012. In 2013, he returned from Switzerland to Germany and took over the management of global real estate management within the Bayer Group. He is also a member of CoreNet Global (CNG) and immoebs. At CoreNet Global, Christmann has been President of the "Central Europe" chapter since 2016.

In his spare time, the 46-year-old likes to be sportive: mountain biking, windsurfing, jogging and skiing are on the agenda depending on the season.
